Wake County is the largest in the Research Triangle Region of North Carolina and is home to our state capital, Raleigh. The total land mass is about 860 square miles and is about 46 miles wide from east to west and the geographic center is in Raleigh. Wake continues to be recognized as one of the fastest growing communities in the US currently averages somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 new residents everyday.

The total population in 2009 is estimated to be around 900,000 people and it’s anticipated to exceed 1,000,000 total in 2011/ 2012.  For more detailed information you should visit the official Wake County website section for demographic data.

Wake County offers urban living, but a lot of people prefer one of the of our smaller communities where they are able to find homes on larger lots and peace and quiet without losing access to our urban amenities.
